Electronic Mailing Lists

When you subscribe to or join a mailing list you become part of a discussion group holding a gigantic conversation through your electronic mail. A topic or question can be sent to every member of the mailing list group by any one member. Anyone responding to that topic or question will have their email message automatically sent to everyone in the mailing list. This is a good way to get information from people with similar interests and needs. CAUTION: Sometimes inappropriate thoughts may be expressed, some comments can be emotionally charged, opinions are diverse, and comments should always be taken with a grain of salt. A mailing list's strength - and weakness - can be its free flow of communication.
