OAGC September News Flash - Fall Conference Registration Deadline, Advocacy, and More!

Fall Conference

The early registration deadline for the OAGC Fall Conference is Friday, 9/27/19. Please send your registration in before the end of day on Friday to avoid a late fee. We have uploaded updated information about keynoters, sessions, registration, awards, raffle, vendor information and more on our fall conference page which you can find at www.oagc.com/fallconference.asp

Note: If you do not receive an email confirmation of your registration, please call the OAGC office at 614-337-0386. Also, please note that OAGC never solicits money, gift cards or personal information by email. 

WEP Workshop - As part of our ongoing effort to provide high quality professional development in gifted education to general educators, OAGC will be offering a special three-hour WEP workshop on Sunday, October 20th at the Hilton. The workshop is free for any conference attendee ($50 for those not attending the fall conference). But as space is limited, advance and separate registration is required. Please go to the link listed above for more information.

Gifted HQPD -- High Quality Professional Development - GTIGNITE 

As the 2018 revised gifted operating standards have been effect for a full year, and OAGC has worked hard to assist districts in implementing the new classroom teacher gifted HQPD requirement. As part of our on-going effort to ensure that Ohio's classroom teachers receive Ohio specific and relevant professional development, OAGC has been working with GTIGNITE to develop Ohio specific modules.  For more information on this partnership along with with several tools and documents that will help you plan, provide, and track gifted HQPD, please go to oagc.com/hqpd.asp .
