OAGC Virtual Teacher Academy 

The early registration fee deadline for the OAGC Virtual Teacher Academy is Friday, February 12th. The academy will be held on February 22nd and 23rd, 2021. OAGC is partnering with J. Taylor Education to provide in-depth sessions on the Depth and Complexity model.  Participants will receive discounts on up to 50% on selected J. Taylor product bundles. The academy will feature live sessions from Kim Tedrick and Carrie Simpson. In addition, there will be many sessions from other J. Taylor consultants. Finally, there will be many sessions from national and state experts. In all, academy partcipants will have access to over 45 sessions! The academy can be viewed live or asynchronously. The Budget Season Begins!

Governor DeWine released his budget plan last week. In the meantine, the Ohio House introduced HB1, which is contains the Cupp-Patterson school funding formula. In addition, OAGC is looking for input to update our legislative positions.  For more details, please go to

OAGC is looking for a few good articles for the Winter Review. To ask for an extension, or to submit articles, please email  by February 15th. 

Gifted HQPD -- High Quality Professional Development

Now more than ever, it is important to have access to high-quality gifted professional development.  OAGC has been working hard to assist districts in implementing the new classroom teacher gifted HQPD requirement. We have an incredible amount of new tools and information to assist gifted professionals and districts.
