Advocacy

School Funding and Report Card Reforms

The Ohio Senate has finished holding hearings on HB110, the biennial budget bill. OAGC provided testimony on the bill on May 6th. The Senate will now work behind the scenes and introduce a substitute bill after Memorial Day. Look for changes to the school funding formula in the Senate version of the HB110.

In addition to the budget, the Ohio Senate also held several hearings on SB145, which is the Senate report card reform bill. OAGC provided proponent testimony on SB145 on May 6th. It is expected that SB145 will be incorporated into HB110. The Ohio House has not held a hearing on HB200, the House report card reform bill, since mid April.  For more details, please go to  www.oagc.com/advocacyalerts.asp
